Recycle Coach simplifies recycling and makes it easier for residents to find local recycling requirements. From Stage 1, where citizens initiate a grass roots effort to bring on-demand recycling information to their community; to Stage 4, it is a relentless quest to remove the obstacles that affect recycling performance.

Communities establish their presence in Stage 1. It takes just 20 residents of a municipality to download the Recycle Coach app to progress to Stage 2, where recycling pick-up reminders and sorting information become available to everyone. These 20 members are rewarded with the Founders Badge to recognize their pioneering efforts.

In Stage 2 the dream of easier access to simple, easy-to-understand recycling information begins to come alive. Residents get recycling pick-up reminders and a look-up tool that helps them learn local recycling rules and requirements.

In Stage 2 the objective is to achieve critical mass, so your local government takes notice of the wonderful thing their residents are doing and decides to get involved to provide information about all their waste and recycling programs. Local businesses and other organizations can play an important role by encouraging employees and co-workers to download the Recycle Coach app. Once you reach your membership target, we begin contacting local officials to let them know what you have accomplished.

Yes, municipalities can “bypass” stages and go directly from Stage 1 or 2 to 3 or 4. If a municipality signs up for the Recycle Coach network and our Pro package, which includes advanced recycling education, a municipality can go from Stage 1 to Stage 4.
